The Problem

Client A received complaints from an employee that he had overheard other employees talking about him behind his back including making threats of violence against him.

Raymond International Actions

We conducted an internal investigation including one-on-one interviews of every employee. We conducted follow-up interviews with employees as necessary to clarify inconsistent statements. We prepared an extensive written report on the investigation results. We reviewed the report with management and made recommendations for resolving the complaint.

Result

The investigation concluded that the employee complaints were unfounded. However, as the employee believed the basis for the complaints, we worked with the client to find an alternative work location for the employee so that his concerns were addressed to his satisfaction and the employee's productivity was maintained at no cost to the employer and no resultant administrative claims.

 

 


 

The Problem

Client B received an allegation that an employee was stealing cargo and selling it on the internet.

We worked with the client's human resources manager to conduct an internal investigation including employee interviews, worksite examination and computer examination. The investigation produced signed witness statements confirming the allegations which resulted in a confession when the implicated employee was presented with the evidence against him.

Result

The employee who committed the theft was terminated for cause. Significant quantities of stolen merchandise was recovered. The employee's unemployment claim was denied. No further employee claims were filed. The employer's image for honesty and integrity within the workplace was reinforced.
